Singing Badly For Courage

It's 2AM and I'm still finding it hard to get to sleep after what is probably one of the funnest gigs I've ever played with the band. Seriously, I think everyone in the band agrees that the Tanya's Courage Trust gig was a tremendous amount of fun to play. I can only apologize for my shaky vocal performance... my excuse is that I was recovering from a serious case of 'the sore throat.' Foolproof, eh?

There were a lot of good acts, actually... True Collision, Company B and The Belfast Busker were particularly enjoyable for me to watch. Actually, going on right after the 'Busker was very daunting as he's such a charming, charismatic showman... surely a tough act to follow, but I think we did ok. I hope you enjoyed it if you were there. I'm sure you did, why wouldn't you, eh?

So thanks for showing up, despite the miserable weather threatening to put a downer on it. Thanks to the organisers for letting us on board... like I said, it was a lot of fun.

So, we premiered a new song tonight... 'Dayglo.' I dunno how many of you are familiar with our set, but I'm wondering... how did the new number go down? If you didn't manage to catch what was being sung, I'll post the lyrics in due time for you to have a gander at... maybe you sing along at a future gig? Hah.

Also coming up real soon are announcements on where to find us next. Stay tuned.

And We're Back

After some... um... technical difficulties... I'm finally back to keep everyone up to date on everything Love Monks. So, without further ado let me fill you in on everything that's going on that so far I know about. Yeah? Yeah.

First and foremost... we've recorded our second EP "The Likes of David Bryant." At the moment we are giving away a limited edition, unmastered and signed copy (only one out of a hundred) of this EP along with one of our lovely looking t-shirts. And 5 grand in cash.* All you have to do is check out our Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/Moonlet?ref=ts) and leave a comment explaining why you think you should be the one to win all this free stuff. After that, you must suggest the facebook page to as many of your beautiful friends as possible so that they may 'like' your comment. At the end of the deadline, the comment with the most 'likes' wins... so get suggesting! Deadline is June 11th.

Next of all... we're going to be playing the Sing for Courage Festival in the grounds of St. Dennis Football Club in St. Austell. It's an open air affair with free camping, so why not come along and enjoy the full experience? Plenty of other bands to enjoy too. 18th of June... be there. ;)

More updates on the way.

*5 grand to be payed out in imaginary notes ONLY. May or may not be cashable in your country.
